Donna Shattuck-Johnson is a native Californian who fell in love with the Cedar City community in 2006 as a visitor to the Iron Gate Inn and Shakespeare Festival. As a child, her interest in cooking, nutrition, concept design, and event planning stemmed from her mother’s knack for hospitality and charitable involvement.
Throughout her entire life starting with major school events, she developed a talent for creating ultimate themed experiences. Her talents include event décor, costumes, and floral design. Her professional background includes Administrative Management, Accounting, Contract, and Record Management. When employed in the corporate arena, she has used her talent over the past 25 years.
She has a flair for creating the ultimate experience for whatever occasion, from intimate dinners, weddings, themed anniversary and birthday parties, and major events for Social and Yacht Clubs, women’s retreats, and charitable events. She has professional experience and support for a worldwide event team during her tenure at a major International corporation. Being the Innkeeper at The Iron Gate Inn allows her to bring all of her creative talents together and looks forward to meeting and getting to know all of her guests.
Donna is a board member of the Iron County Lodging Association, and a board member of the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce. Brian and Donna are members of the Shakespeare Festival Theatre Guild and hosts many fundraising events for Cedar City’s many philanthropic endeavors.
